The shower curtain rail U shape - ceiling mount only - stainless steel, for hanging a shower curtain rail without fixing to the wall.
A U-shaped shower curtain rail for ceiling mounting only is the solution to various problems when installing a shower curtain rail without the corresponding wall. Either because the bathroom walls are not stable. The shower has no walls on which to mount a shower curtain rail. Or because you can't/won't drill into the tiles to attach the shower curtain rail without a plunger. The shower curtain rail suspended from the ceiling with just 4 ceiling brackets is a good and stable solution without the need for a wall.
In contrast to the curved circular shower curtain rail, the U-shaped shower curtain rail for ceiling mounting only corresponds to the square and rectangular shapes of most shower trays and bathtubs. A rosette at the end of the shower curtain rail prevents the shower curtain from slipping. Only in combination with the corresponding HKD12 shower curtain fixing hooks can the shower curtain be pulled past the ceiling brackets without interruption. The number of hooks required depends on the desired width of the shower curtain. If necessary, a combination of two shower curtains is recommended.
Like all our other shower curtain rails, this U-shaped shower curtain rail is also available on request as a made-to-measure product, or with wall mounting on one side and ceiling mounting on the other side of the shower curtain rail.
Simple and attractive way to hang the shower curtain rail from the ceiling
As with all of our 12mm stainless steel shower curtain rails, the beauty of the U-shaped shower curtain rail is that there is no visible screw connection. For the U-shaped shower curtain rail, 4 holes are drilled, dowels inserted and a hanger bolt screwed in. A sleeve is screwed onto this hanger bolt, in which the ceiling brackets are held in the desired position with a hexagon socket screw. For perfect alignment, the rod has +- 1cm play in the sleeve, i.e. a total tolerance of 2cm. The length of the ceiling brackets is designed for a distance of 40 cm between the shower curtain rail and the ceiling. The length of the ceiling brackets can be shortened on site using a hacksaw. If required, the ceiling brackets are available in customised lengths. For orientation: For a 200cm long shower curtain and a distance of 1.5cm from the floor, the shower curtain rail should be installed 204cm from the floor for a walk-in shower that is flush with the floor.
