At 90x90 cm, the shower rod is usually perfect for standard shower corners and shower trays. When planning the shower, consider that the shower curtain needs to hang within the shower tray. If in doubt, it is better to measure again. This is particularly advisable for barrier-free walk in showers that are accessible at floor level. For level shower areas and very flat shower trays with an edge that is about 2–3 cm high (such as a tiled border to keep water in), the shower curtain rod must be set behind the edge so that the shower curtain drips off behind the edge, even with slight folds. If necessary, a floor mounted splash protection needs to be taken into account.

Shower curtain rail holder

Two different shower rod corners are available: A "comfort corner" with a 70mm radius, so that the shower curtain can be pulled comfortably around the corner, or a "sharp corner" with a 14mm radius, which partly fits better to the cutting edge design of a modern bathroom. With both versions, in combination with the shower curtain hook HKD12 the shower curtain is guided freely around the ceiling holder and without being stopped. This HKD12 shower curtain hook is expensive, because it is made by hand, but it is absolutely necessary to take advantage of the clever shower curtain rod construction.

The correct shower curtain rod height allows the bottom edge of the shower curtain to hang approx. 1-2cm above the floor in an open ground-level shower. Our simplified calculation of the ceiling hangers length: Room height - shower curtain length - 4cm= length of ceiling holder measured up to the middle axle of the shower rod. If the shower curtain is to last for a long time, it must not stand in water under any circumstances. The supplied ceiling bracket has a length of 40cm and can easily be shortened to the required length with a hacksaw. In the ceiling bracket the height of the shower rod can be adjusted by +-1cm. The shower rod cannot be shortened without a CNC milling machine. We are happy to manufacture individual special dimensions of shower curtain rods directly in the workshop and deliver the entire package, including screws and plugs, ready for installation in the bathroom. Shower curtain rail surface

The shower curtain rail is top notch quality. Made of a solid 12 mm stainless steel rod, scratch-resistant, robust and easy to clean because it is antibacterial. The standard surface of the shower rod is sanded by hand after production to a shimmering matt finish. On request, chrome comparable high gloss polished. With the hand polished version, an additional time expenditure of approx. one week must be expected and represents a special production and is excluded from the Umtasuchausschlossen.

Installation of the shower curtain rail without drilling

With the adhesive adapter the shower curtain rail can be fixed without drilling. The adhesive adapter has proven itself over the years and simplifies the fixing of the shower curtain rail on tiles and smooth surfaces. The height of the adhesive adapter (6mm) must be added to the leg length of the shower rod. For fixing the shower rod on glass, e.g. in an open shower cubicle with a glass wall on one side, we recommend the glass adhesive plate with crystal-curing UV  adhesive.

Shower curtain rail options

Cover rosettes To fix the shower curtain rail, 3 holes with 8mm must be drilled without adhesive adapter. Since the rod itself has a diameter of only 12mm, we recommend cover rosettes for a clean finish of shower rod and wall or shower curtain rods ceiling bracket and ceiling.

Delivery without shower curtain rings. The number depends on the selected shower curtain width.
