A high-quality, eco friendly shower curtain dark blue made of waxed cotton that does not stick to the body and machine washed is not required.

A beautiful high quality textile shower curtain, coloured in the elegant and deep blue of the oceans - so keep it clean! It's a non toxic shower curtain which is impregnated with wax in high quality 100% free of plastic and fluorochemicals.

This fabric shower curtain is particularly suitable for floor-level showers, where it can hang freely and dry. One advantage of its natural weight is that it doesn't require additional weights in the hem in order to hang perfectly and doesn't stick to your body. Because the shower curtain fabric itself is very tightly woven, it will always remain waterproof even without 100% impregnation.

This shower curtain will last very long if you make sure that it can always dry well. Avoid, e.g. letting it stick onto the bathtub or stand in water. 

Over time, your eco-friendly DUWAX shower curtain will look better and better as it develops an unique patina, just like an old favorite wax jacket.

Shower curtain care instructions

- Handmade in Germany -The curtain is sewn by hand in Germany, with great skill. As with any shower curtain, residues are avoided if it hangs dry and free after showering.

Especially with cotton shower curtains, the care and cleaning is decisive for a long life and beautiful patina.

The shower curtain is water-repellant, but not oil-repellent. Oil and detergents impair the patina.

Shower curtain cleaning

This shower curtain does not need to be washed in the machine. The impregnation penetrates the entire material and water runs off the surface, which is why washing it in the washing machine is ineffective. Avoid machine washing and remove dirt from time to time with liquid citic acid, which is available at any household store. Detergents should be used sparingly. For heavier soiling, it is recommended to soak the area with clear cold water and rub the fabric against itself.

Because the shower curtain fabric itself is very tightly woven, it will always remain waterproof. If the impregnation wears off over time, it can be refreshed with an iron without steam or an impregnating agent made for waxed textiles, such as for wax jackets and bags. To protect the ironing board cover, iron from the left and with a cloth or baking paper between the shower curtain and the underlay.
